Many Ravens

Excerpt

“You don’t know nothing.”

“I know too much.”

“You don’t know enough to keep your little blond pervert alive once the aftereffects of the spells you took off him settle in.”

“If you had magic, you’d hit me with some.”

Wacom smirked. “If Samber doesn’t get here in a few days, like you said, you’ll be planting your pretty boy friend permanently.”

“You’re lying.”

“Special derivative, bright boy. They die slow and hurting bad, crying for their mums.” Wacom palmed a knife, playing the blade across his thumb. “Until they turn blue from not breathing, that is.”

It sounded like the way Chiary’s first partner had died.

Wacom clicked open the knife handle and blew across the end. A yellow powder swirled up. Daje squinted his eyes mostly closed, held his breath, and leapt back.

Wacom smirked. “Sammie made one up especially for you, beast boy.”
