Do you really paint all your work?

If it says hand painted, yes. The "Dreaming of Joy" series is the only one that is not hand painted. We hand paint items to add that extra touch of originality and cosmic energy. Most items are hand painted, except the books and, right now, the pictures in the cub-sized weekly planner, which are full color prints or colored in the computer instead (since there are so many of them.)

What medium do you use?

I use various brands of tube water colors.

The spirit guide portraits are done in Rembrandt pastels.

What does Limited Edition mean ?

It means that only a certain number of prints is made from each design. In the case of note and Christmas cards, that number is usually 500. (If we are getting low on a design, it will be noted with the design.) Some designs are offered in more than one form, such as in a cub-sized planner, then as note cards, but the combined limited edition will still be 500.

What is the difference between a numbered edition & a limited edition ?

A numbered edition is an unlimited edition that has been numbered (and usually signed) by the author and artist.

More about the Artist, Sara Ryan

Creative expression is a constant theme throughout my lifetimes. Currently art, writing, and metaphysical threads are predominant; I attempt to make a smooth braid of them to show the world.
Reflecting through art the Constant Beingness of the Self that I am, other people, and all Beings, I endeavor to create bridges of awareness to encourage people to become one with their incredible potential and touch the Beauty of their souls.
All my art is created within a meditative state or while in spiritual energy and is drawn from there, dreams, or visions. My art not only reflects these realms but radiates the energies of those states. Therefore, each piece of art radiates a healing--whether on a physical, emotional, or mental level--for all those who come in contact with it.

When you say a product is a certain edition, what do you mean?

This usually refers to how many times  the Tiger has offered a certain product over the years.  For instance, the Tiger has been offering new Christmas and Yule cards each year for 37 years, that would be:  Christmas and Yule Card Edition 37. Quote Fantastic and Spirit To Spirit have 2 editions; two books, same theme, different titles.

In case you are curious, in the year 2006, these are the current editions for the yearly products:
